cVideo Releases Version 5.7 Software
Today, cVideo announced the release of its software version 5.7, which reflects the company’s continued dedication to provide highly capable video systems with unique, customer-driven software applications. Version 5.7 includes total recording frame rates of up to 240 fps. Customers can choose the system to meet their specific needs, including systems with 20, 60, 120, and 240 frames per second. Other benefits of the latest technology include a reduction in image file size of 15 to 90 percent, as well as significant improvements in image quality. The file size reduction is especially evident in low lighting conditions; tests and initial installations have shown file sizes that are less than one tenth of previous file sizes under the same condition. Also included in Version 5.7 is an advanced application for video intelligence (VI) software. The application intelligently tracks objects in the camera field while distinguishing between human and nonhuman activity. It can track directionally and provide alert notification for activities that require investigation or action. As part of the recent improvements, this additional software layer is now fully integrated into the cVideo product platform. This integration allows users to manage their VI-enhanced surveillance operations through a single, easy-to-use client interface. Further, the video intelligence events and alerts include a more detailed description of the event detected.
